Bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether is one of the important amine catalysts in the polyurethane industry. Bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether has very high catalytic activity and selectivity for the foaming reaction, and the pure product has high activity. People use diol to dilute it into solution.

A-1 catalyst is a catalyst composed of 70% bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether and 30% dipropylene glycol (DPG).
